The gathering of participants is set for 3 pm in via Forlaninideparture between 3.30pm and 4pm, with inevitable disruption to traffic and also public transport.
Path
From via Forlanini the colorful procession of the «WhishParade» will travel along a stretch of viale Redi and reach Piazza Puccini from which it will continue along via Ponte alle Mosse up to Porta al Prato and from there to Farmhouses, in Viale Lincoln, Viale del Quercione and Viale dell’Aeronautica, up to the amphitheater named after the late Ernesto De Pascale. Alia informs that on the indication of the Police Headquarters and for safety reasons it will proceed with the removal of the bins, waste collection baskets and glass collection bells located on viale Redi and via Ponte alle Mosse and the simultaneous closure of the fixed ones.
The measure will take effect starting from 1.30 pm and until the end of the afternoon.
The parade
The route of the procession was authorized by the Police Headquarters and the demonstration is organized by the Florentine and Tuscan collectives two years after the entry into force of the «anti-rave decree» and wants to claim that «Florence is not only mass tourism but also a hotbed of ideas, initiatives, connections and networks that work to remain united and provide an alternative to the commodification of the city. We want to dance and make the city sound to make our voice heard.”
I am a few hundred people expected and the Municipality warns of inconveniences to circulation, while the organizers’ flyer on “good practices” invites people not to engage in violent or annoying behavior, not to scatter waste but also to “not talk to journalists and reporters”.
