The place where the bleeding girl was rescued

Piacenza records a new case of violence against women.
Around 3.30pm yesterday a girl was rescued by some passers-by in the car park near the Galleana roundabout, just outside Piacenza. Her face was covered in blood, deep wounds on her face and arms, she was screaming for help.

Some passing motorists immediately stopped to help her, the young woman told them what had happened to her: “I was in the car with my partner, we argued and he started hitting me violently. Luckily I managed to open the door and escape.”

A few seconds later, her boyfriend arrived and tried to place the blame on the girl: “She’s taking psychotropic drugs, she’s not lucid,” he said.

But those present, who had already called the police and 118, invited him not to approach the young woman again. The man then also tried to attack a motorist who had stopped, who with great courage pushed him away, causing him to flee.

When the police arrived, the girl reiterated her story and was then taken to the emergency room.

The boyfriend’s position is being examined by the judicial authorities.
Both protagonists live in the province of Pavia.
