For years Lapressa.it has offered free and independent information to its readers without any type of public contribution. Private advertising covers part of the costs, but it is not sufficient. For this reason we ask those who read us and follow us every day to give us, if they wish, a contribution based on their possibilities. Even a small support, multiplied by the tens of thousands of people from Modena and Emilia-Romagna who read us every day, is fundamental.

Modena, finally the three points. Bisoli faces and defeats his nemesis, and gives Modena three points three months after the last victory (27 January, 3 to 0 against Parma); three very important and very important points which give security and certainty to Modena, also in view of the Secchia derby on Wednesday 1 May, and above all allow Modena to seriously stake their salvation.
Immediately there were surprises on the pitch: as anticipated in the press conference, Bisoli asked to change the bench and moved to the one closest to Montagnani, historically reserved for the visiting team.
There are also some changes in the starting eleven. Bisoli plays with a disguised 4-4-2: in front of Gagno, a four-man line: Magnino, Zaro, Pergreffi and Cotali; in midfield Palumbo starts from the right and rises to the front, with Battistella, Santoro in the center and Corrado who either closes in on the center or goes to play the fourth; in front the couple Gliozzi and Strizzolo.

First opportunity with Palumbo who grazes the post from outside; In the 13th minute Casiraghi engages Gagno in a save; the yellow-blue goalkeeper repeats himself in the 30th minute with a free kick from the usual Casiraghi. At the end, a nice cross from Battistella from the right, and Magnino misses the ball with his head from a few steps away.
In the second half Abiuso immediately replaced Strizzolo; the game remains balanced, SudTirol manages the ball and Modena tries to quickly verticalize with the counterattacks.
In the 62nd minute Bisoli comes off the bench: Bohzanaj and Cauz come on for Gliozzi and Corrado; Cauz moves to left back while Cotali moves up to midfield, with Bohznaj and Palumbo in the threequarters behind Abiuso.
In the 67th minute Modena flashed: Battistella’s corner kick from the right which Zaro burst into for the most classic of the former’s goals; the yellow-blue defender then runs towards Montagnani to celebrate under the curve together with the fans in a scream that he feels is liberation.

After the lead, Modena remains behind; in the 79th minute Oukhadda came on in place of Palumbo, with Magnino moving up to midfield. We run and fight, the referee allows 6′ of injury time, SudTirol attacks with their heads down, throwing balls into the area but the yellow-blue cuirassiers defend the goal with courage and bring home a very important victory.

Today’s Modena has given the image of football that Bisoli asks for; few frills, little dribbling, enough with the stale and useless turning of the ball behind, and enough with horizontal football with no outlets in attack; Modena, on the other hand, showed off great running, great tactical and mental application, with the whole team behind the line of the ball, which as soon as possible, looks for a sudden verticalisation towards the opponent’s goal; also from a tactical point of view, Bisoli tried something new, also trying with substitutions to modify the structure on the pitch by rotating and varying the positions of the players.
There will still be a lot of work to do, but the victory, and the enthusiasm generated, will help Bisoli and the team to try to close the championship on a high note starting from Wednesday’s race in Reggio Emilia.
