PUGLIA – Spring is back in Puglia, but the respite from the bad weather of these days could be short-lived.

The latest weather trends indicate that what awaits us will be a week that will begin under the banner of good weather with a rise in temperatures starting from tomorrow 28 April, which however will evolve with rain and thunderstorms over a good part of the country from Wednesday onwards .

May 1st is therefore at risk in Puglia, but not across the entire region. The anticyclonic comeback which – already over the weekend – is taking shape over Italy, will continue at the beginning of next week, bringing a high pressure field over central-eastern Europe. The phase of atmospheric stability due to the presence of the anticyclone will also be felt in Italy, and especially in the Centre-South and North-East the temperatures will gain degrees, reaching values which – in some cases – could prove to be even higher than average of period.

Monday 29 April good weather expected with sunny skies over much of Italy and mild temperatures.

Tuesday 30 a new unstable flow will appear from the west. The weather will remain predominantly sunny, especially in the North-East and the Adriatic regions, while elsewhere we will see a gradual increase in clouds and the arrival of some rain which – after having affected the North-West and the Islands, will tend to move in the evening even to high Tuscany, Emilia and Campania.

May Day according to current projections, it will still be affected by a disturbed weather. In the North, even moderate rainfall will persist especially between the North-West and Emilia Romagna and then also affect the North-East in the evening. In the Centre-South, an unstable phase with locally scattered precipitation, including showers or thunderstorms, which will quickly move from the islands and the Tyrrhenian sector towards the Adriatic side.

This will result in marked variability with episodes of instability alternating and followed by even large clearings. The Scirocco will be replaced by cooler winds from Libeccio with a consequent drop in temperatures almost everywhere towards values closer to seasonal averages.

A second disturbed passage should then involve Italy between Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd with other rainy and unstable phases also accompanied by a bit of wind especially in the Centre-North and in Sardinia (possible more marginal involvement on Friday of Campania, Basilicata and of Puglia).

Temperatures will fluctuate around substantially normal values.
