“Nocturnal animals” on stage at the San Cassiano theater in Vico
Descriptive text here

Tomorrow (28 April), at 5pm, at the Giovanni XXIII theater in San Cassiano a Vico, the company Le Fortunate Theater Exceptions will stage, for the first time, Nocturnal animals by Juan Mayorga.

A difficult text to convey in the usual synopsis, however, a story of men and women whose lives are dominated by secrecy and solitude.

“Two shadows cross each other on the stairs every morning until one day…”. This is the key line of Nocturnal animals uttered by one of the two male characters, and the ellipses, which translate an unexpressed but evident threat, allude to the event from which the author, one of the major contemporary Spanish playwrights, drew inspiration.

The show proposes with extreme lucidity the theme of existential loneliness, poorly filled by habit and the inability to react to the emotional blackmail with which we daily support the fear of loneliness itself, to the point of building and living a life based on essentially false relationships and precarious.

The cast is made up of Alessandro Lutri, Barbara Puppa, Mauro Tommasi, Diana Daddoveri. Adaptation and direction are by Mauro Tommasi.

The entrance ticket costs 8 euros (reduced, for children up to 14 years old, people over 65 and Anspi 2024 members, 6 euros).
