Flash mob against gambling in Brescia. This morning, among the stalls of the Saturday market, a mountain of scratch cards was placed on the ground with a total cost of 368 thousand euros, as part of an awareness campaign organized by the Gli Acrobati cooperative. On the asphalt, in addition to the coupons, all losers, which belonged to a former gambling addict, sentences were written in chalk to warn passers-by about the risks of the game.

Objective: to raise awareness of the risks of gambling

“The objective is to raise awareness among people not to gamble and to attract those who do so as soon as possible, because gambling has a very high underground economy, in which the people who access treatment services are a small number compared to those played, and usually those who gamble turn to it when the situation is already serious and clear-cut”, commented Sara Rossi of the Acrobats Consortium, to whom the former gambling addict had turned by giving them all the coupons he had kept in the closet.
