The former Capuchin Convent, in via Brigata Sassari a Quartu Sant’Elenais preparing to welcome an important event exhibition of works of art and Pigotte Unicef which will take place from 17 to 24 May 2024 continuously from 08:00 to 20:00.

The exhibition entitled “Celebrities 4 Unicef”, sponsored by the Municipality of Quartu Sant’Elena, will exhibit both the artist’s paintings Fabio Stocchinoa well-known painter and restorer from Quartu Sant’Elena, and the Unicef ​​Pigotte made by the volunteer Lucia Zedda.

To be represented will be world-famous characters from the 60s to the 90s such as Charlie Chaplin, Lady Diana, Raffaella Carrà and others. On the occasion of the exhibition, the winning Pigotte of the “La Pigotta Sportiva” project created by the pupils of the participating schools will also be displayed.

On the final evening of the exhibition, Friday 24 Maywill be held the auction for the adoption of Pigotte “Celebrities”: the funds obtained will be used to support UNICEF in its important task of reaching every child in danger, wherever they are, bringing vaccines, therapeutic foods, building wells, schools and providing assistance.

Born in 1961, the artist Fabio Stocchino frequented street painters in Florence in the 1980s and, as a self-taught artist, subsequently deepened his portrait technique by participating in various painting exhibitions in Quartu and throughout Sardinia.
