A violent raid followed by brutal beatings is what a 46-year-old Algerian man had to face, victim of an alleged gang made up of four individuals. The criminal action, which took place in the victim’s apartment in Petilia Policastro, culminated with the theft of money and serious injuries inflicted on the victim while he tried to escape.
The competent authorities, specifically the Carabinieri of the Petilia Policastro Company, acted promptly and arrested the alleged perpetrators, with one of the gang members locked up in prison and the other three placed under house arrest. The charges against the suspects include aggravated robbery, bodily harm, illegal possession of edged weapons and threats.
The decision to apply precautionary measures was taken by the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Crotone, Elisa Marchetto, who defined the criminal action as an act of “alarming gravity”, characterized by brutal and unscrupulous violence. In the order issued, reference is made to the “real fury towards the offended person”, with the suspects demonstrating a total lack of repentance for their actions.
Among those who were arrested, as reported by the Gazzetta del Sud, Silvano Scalise, 34 years old, resident in Petilia Policastro, was placed in prison, while Alex Scalise (24 years old), Davide Scalise (19 years old) and Giulio Vona (21 years old) years) were placed under house arrest. The suspects faced warrant interrogations before the judge a day ago.
