Not only the new routes decided by Trenitalia, but the Abruzzo summer season will also see the airport as protagonist. There are 17 connections planned. The details.
Abruzzo wants to take advantage of the summer season to relaunch its economy and tourism. An opportunity not to be missed and both President Marsilio and the municipalities know this very well. In recent days we told you about Trenitalia’s decision to strengthen connections with the Giulianova and Vasto-San Salvo stations. But it absolutely doesn’t end here.
In the summer months Pescara airport will also be the protagonist. To date, 17 connections are planned with Italy and abroad. A great opportunity to allow hundreds of people to come to our region and naturally admire the beauties. The hope is to achieve excellent results and we just have to wait for the next few weeks to understand whether or not the set objectives will be achieved.
The connections planned for the summer months
But what connections are planned for the summer months? Ryanair has decided to open Pescara airport to tourists arriving from Catania, Milan, Bergamo Orio al Serio, Trapani, Malta, Krakow, London (Stansted), Prague, Bucharest, Barcelona (Girona), Dusseldorf, Frankfurt (Hahn) , Memmingen, Brussels, Charleroi, Alghero and Turin.
And it absolutely doesn’t end here. Wizzair has given the green light to the connection with Tirana while they will be able to arrive with the company from Luxembourg Luxair.
Abruzzo wants to relaunch tourism
Marsilio also admitted this in his speech at the Fratelli d’Italia convention: the difference between North and South is represented by infrastructure. The choice to strengthen rail and air connections certainly represents a first step towards reducing the gap and also relaunching tourism. Naturally, for the moment the period is only the summer one, but the hope on the part of the region is that this can continue in the future.
