The May 1st come back there historical re-enactment of the Naples Grand Prix – Posillipo circuitedited by Classic Car Club Naples. All ready on Viale Virgilianothe ancient starting straight of the historic car race that came to an end 27th edition.
An ancient history that of this race which has its roots in the distant past 1934 with the first edition of Formula 1 Naples Grand Prix which lived its historical epic from the post-war period until 1962 and saw the most renowned teams and the best drivers in the world lined up.
From the victories of Nuvolari, Farina, Ascarito the participation of illustrious names such as Fangio and Mossuntil the 1960 triumph of Mennato Boffaa Samnite but Neapolitan-by-adoption driver, to whom the square leading onto the straight has recently been named Viale Virgiliano. The Naples Grand Prixeven if never included in the calendar World Championshiphas always had great appeal among professionals.
