Crotone, almost 3 million for the urban regeneration of Vescovatello, 300 homes and Pitagora Park

The 300 Accommodation neighborhood of Crotone

The municipal council of Crotone, on the proposal of the Pnrr councilor Luca Bossiapproved the feasibility project for the urban regeneration of three important areas of the city: Vescovatello, 300 accommodations and Pitagora Park.

It is a investment of 2,844,500 euros which, as councilor Bossi explains, “in line with a vision of development of the city of Crotone, wants to present itself as a model of growth and refunctionalization of the peripheral neighborhoods of the municipal territory.

A program that provides for an urban regeneration action and in particular the need for a redevelopment of the Vescovatello neighborhoods and 300 housing unitsie of a renovation and energy efficiency of the Museum of Pythagoras, which follows the interventions implemented in other areas of the city such as Poggio Pudano, Gabelluccia, San Francesco, Capocolonna and in the same district of Tufolo/300 accommodations with a series of integrated actions”

Specifically, as regards the Vescovatello district, the area covered by the intervention is represented by the area surrounding the Erp complex.

The activity will concern the reorganization of the neighborhood and sidewalks, the redevelopment of the space through the creation of equipped green areas and parking lots, the creation of a multipurpose field and a new lighting system.

As regards the 300-housing neighbourhood, which is already the subject of other completed or ongoing interventions, also in this case the intervention will consist of the reorganization of the neighborhood with the redevelopment of free spaces, new lighting, creation of urban vegetable gardens, equipped green areas , a bowling green and a pedestrian path.

The third area subject to the intervention is the one where the Pythagoras Museum stands.

The intervention will consist of renovation of the internal lighting and video surveillance systemthe redevelopment of the internal areas, the renovation of the services as well as the redevelopment of the pedestrian path that leads from Via Falcone to the Museum.
