PISTOIA. In the province of Pistoia the slow erosion of the legal staff does not stop which, this year, sees the disappearance of 12 chairs, whose teachers have become supernumerary.
Explanation
These teachers were still able to benefit from the reopening of the transfer terms and this meant that none of them had to leave the province of Pistoia. Some found places in their competition class, others had to opt for a place in enhancement. This situation emerges from the presentation of the legal staff endowment presented by the Regional School Office which, taken into account in the Pistoia reality, is quantified at 3, 201 common positions (or assigned chairs) of legal staff, another 101 places are recovered from fractions of hours which arise from teaching positions which do not reach 18 hours per week, thus bringing the overall number to 3,302. To these common positions must be added 11 motor education positions at primary school and 184 common strengthening positions divided into 13 hours at secondary school. childhood, 65 in primary school, 17 in middle school and 89 in high school.
The numbers
The common staff positions reserved for support are 614, the same number expected in the previous year. Of these, 31 are common support places in nursery schools, 191 in primary schools, 157 in middle schools and 235 in high schools. This year too, 37 places will be increased in support, divided into 12 in elementary schools, 9 in middle schools and 16 in high schools. Furthermore, the support situation remains extremely difficult given that, even taking into account the exemptions (i.e. the use of temporary workers) that will certainly be granted, each teacher will have to supervise at least three students with various certifications on average. Furthermore, these are often teachers who do not have the qualification for support but who are used for this purpose to meet the pressing needs of each individual institution. In fact, in the current year, based on data provided by Flc Cgil, there were 2,036 pupils with disabilities in the province of Pistoia, based on law 104/92. Of these, 940 are in a situation of extreme fragility, falling within article 3 and paragraph 3 of the law. Therefore, compared to the 2,036 young people with certified disabilities, in the current year, only 1,593, 5 support positions or in the legal workforce with a common position or with exceptions were activated, therefore drawing from the de facto workforce that is made up of temporary workers. This situation of lack of support teachers with specific certification is destined to continue for a few more years even if, lately, many teachers are equipping themselves with this certification which is obtained with a specific post-university course. The data from the regional school office then certifies that in the province of Pistoia 37,258 students are expected for all schools of all levels, divided into 1,821 sections. There will be 4,571 children from nursery schools who will find a place in 215 classes. The 10,840 primary school students will fill 574 classes while the 7,621 high school students will have 357 sections available. Finally, there will be 14,226 high school students who will be spread across 675 sections.
