In Carrara, however four anarchists involved in the “Scripta Scelera” investigation, the immediate judgment led to a modification of the precautionary measures: house arrest has been replaced by the obligation to stay with signature, each in their own municipality of residence. The proceedings had a turning point thanks to the requests accepted by the trial judge, Dr Fabrizio Garofaloadvanced by the defense lawyers, despite theopposition from the prosecutor, Federico Manotti.
After months, the restrictive measure ended for Gino Vatteroni, 56 years old, defended by the lawyer George Botti of the forum of Massa, Paolo Arosio, 45 years, Gaia Taino35 years old, and Luigi Palli27 years old, all three assisted by a lawyer Fabio Sommovigowith Palli also represented by the lawyer Marta Magnaniniboth from the Bar of La Spezia.
There next hearing is scheduled for May 24th, with the defendants accused of two types of crimes: incitement to commit crimes with the aggravating circumstance of terrorism, apology and contempt of the President of the Republic. They were called to account for publications in the magazine “Bezmotivny”which led to the seizure of some documents at the Goliardo Fiaschi club in via Ulivi in Carrara. They are accused of having printed and distributed the fortnightly periodical “For no reason” throughout the national territory, with the aim of encouraging the diffusion and debate between anarchist ideas and practices and to demonstrate a participatory attitude in the project of destruction of the State.
