Also the athlete Nadja Bala in Valeria Cittadin’s civic list

ROVIGO – After Edoardo Lubian’s announcement (READ ARTICLE), player of Rugby Rovigo, Valeria Cittadin, candidate for mayor of Rovigo by Fratelli dìItalia, announces another important addition to her civic list. It’s about Nadja Bala, Paralympic athlete very well known in the city, who has already worn the shirt of the Italian sitting volleyball team.

“Our team is strong, motivated and representative – declared the Citizen – Together with Nadja and all the other candidates for the position of councilor we are collecting ideas and reports from our fellow citizens, to draw up a program worthy of the challenges that await Rovigo in the coming years – he clarified, before focusing on the issues of disability and inclusion – Every citizen of Rovigo is worth it and our community can and must benefit from everyone’s contribution. This is why we pay maximum attention to people with disabilities.

The objective is to overcome and break down the physical barriers, as well as the social and cultural ones, which hinder the full and active participation of some people from Rovigo in the life of our city. I am thinking of the elderly, people with disabilities, as well as those who, even temporarily, find themselves in conditions of reduced mobility.

If I am elected mayor, I will establish a disability department, which collaborates directly not only with individuals and families, but also with associations and operators in the sector, to progressively overcome any critical issues. From access to offices and public gardens, to the creation of inclusive playgrounds, to acoustic warning devices at crossings, there are many initiatives that must be taken to ensure that Rovigo is truly a city tailored to the needs of each of its inhabitants.

We will also promote the activation of the disability card in the Rovigo area, extending the network of active services, also through agreements with private entities – concluded Cittadin – Rovigo belongs to everyone and can only grow if everyone’s skills and attitudes are valorised”.
