The third and final stage of the National Under 16 and Under 14 Championship concluded on Sunday 21 April 2024 in Ravenna.
On the afternoon of Saturday 20 April, a small Under 12 tournament was also held, a quadrangular tournament which saw the participation of 3 teams from Ravenna and 1 from Velletri, the KIDSTARS (line-up: Michael Antonetti ©, Giorgio De Rossi, Giorgio Cantatore, Dennis Daniel Hodorogea, Cosmin Caruze and Alessio Andrei Caruze).
Despite the age and inexperience of three of the little players, in their first official tournament, the Kidsstars managed to win 2nd place. A fiery Sunday, however, that of April 21st, which saw the Fantastars busy in the morning and the Zodiacs in the afternoon. For both competitions the formula included group matches and final playoffs between the top four ranked teams, valid for the single title of this third stage. At the end of the day, the points accumulated by each team in all three stages of the Championship were calculated to decide the overall under 14 and under 16 winners.
In the under 14 category, the FANTASTARS (Flavio Di Caprio ©, Samuel Antonetti, Jacopo Castaldo, Mattia Pagnozzi, Michael Antonetti, Giorgio De Rossi and Giorgio Cantatore), after a draw in the first match of the morning, won all the group matches and the playoffs, winning both the third stage and the Championship trophy after the 6-0 win in the final against the Ravenna Diablos Red. The Veliterno FANTASTARS team closes with a full 30 points and is reconfirmed as the 2024 Italian Champion for the third consecutive year.
Similar story, in the under 16 category, where the ZODIAC senior team (Valerio Massimo Brencio ©, Alessio Cantatore, Francesco Marotta, Gabriele Mignucci, Flavio Di Caprio, Samuel Antonetti, Jacopo Castaldo and Mattia Pagnozzi) dominated throughout the tournament, winning all the matches in the group matches and in the playoffs, as well as in the final against the Ravenna Diablos Black always 6-0. Also for the Zodiacs the season ended with almost full points, 27 points, and confirmation of the title of Italian Champions 2024 for the third year.
