What happens to cork stoppers? Winelivery and Amorim Cork Italia launch a recycling project
Descriptive text here

Perhaps not everyone knows that cork stoppers can be 100% recycled: Winelivery, a well-known brand for home wine delivery, and Amorim Cork Italia, a world leader in the production of cork stoppers, launched an ad hoc campaign. : the campaign that not only celebrates recycling but also supports families in difficulty is called “Tappi x Tappi”. Until May 22nd, all Winelivery customers will have the opportunity to make an eco-responsible choice: when placing their orders, when they receive the bottles, they can deliver the used cork stoppers to the rider. These caps embark on a journey to a new life, while customers will be rewarded with virtual caps in their Tappadanaio, the app’s loyalty program. At the end of the initiative, Winelivery undertakes to donate the corks collected to the non-profit organization “A Braccia Aperte”, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families in difficulty through various initiatives, including the free distribution of used clothing for children, welcoming families with hospitalized children and promoting volunteering. “A Braccia Aperte” will deliver the corks collected to Amorim Cork Italia, receiving in exchange a fee to support their cause. Since it is a recyclable material, Amorim Cork Italia will then manage the start of recycling and organize their reduction into granules, which can be used, almost as if it were a new raw material, for various applications, from green building to design. The “Suber” line was born from an idea of Amorim, produced with the granules of corks collected by non-profit organizations participating in the “Ethical” project and located throughout the national territory.
