To monitor the situation and the implementation of a growth program dedicated to the Tranese healthcare facility, a real supervisory commission will be created composed of the mayor and 4 representatives of the municipal council divided equally between the majority and the opposition; a first result that the secretaries of Fratelli d’Italia, Forza Italia, Lega and LPS tenaciously claim, dissociating themselves from “characters in search of visibility – the political secretaries comment – who without intellectual honesty and any civic sense aim to diminish the constant, sometimes silent, sometimes necessarily noisy, institutional and political work carried out by the Political Secretaries and Municipal Councilors all, to whom the solidarity and full support of our communities goes.
We also claim that on the subject of healthcare – they write from the centre-right – there are no political colors but only a common goal, dissociating ourselves from those who seek to politicise, in search of personal visibility, entire groups of professionals and such a sensitive issue for the community.”
In the note signed by political secretaries, municipal councilors and directors of the respective groups, the story is reconstructed, clarifying that the malfunctioning of the PTA derives from the lack of legal certainty and therefore of precise functions, characteristics and attributions, thus ensuring the existence of the simultaneous presence in the PTA of structures with staff from hospitals and the district clinic which in some cases provide similar specialist services, without any coordination between them.
Legal certainty and therefore its own identity would guarantee the Trani PTA solid foundations that would allow it to do much more, first of all by drastically reducing the waiting list times; another request that emerged was that of the reopening of the Analysis Laboratory as foreseen by the 2016 Program Agreement and that of the Emergency Room as already decided by City Council Resolution no. 65 of 17 May 2018; all these are fundamental steps – explain the center-right secretariats – towards “achieving the primary objective that healthcare must aim for, that is, guaranteeing the sacrosanct Right to Health”.
