L’AQUILA – Under the influence of cannabinoids he would have hit and killed a pedestrian. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of L’Aquila, in the person of the deputy prosecutor Marco Maria Cellini, has opened a case hypothesizing the crime of road homicide against a 20-year-old from L’Aquila, the initials PC, accused of having run over and killed a pedestrian, l ‘Last April 8th. Today’s Messaggero Abruzzo reported the news.

It was he who lost his life Enzo Filippi De Santis 89 years old, surveyor of the Municipality of L’Aquila, mayor of Acciano in the 1960s. At 10pm the elderly man was apparently hit by the car driven by the 20-year-old while he was crossing the pedestrian crossing, having now reached a few steps from his home in Viale XXV Aprile, Collemaggio area. When the 118 medical staff immediately intervened on site, the clinical picture of the injured elderly man was already very serious. First treated on site, Filippi De Santis was transferred to hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. The serious traumas he suffered ultimately dragged the 89-year-old with a tough physique and spirit to his death.

From the check for the possible presence of drugs or alcohol in the driver, it emerged that the boy was found (although apparently in a low percentage) positive for cannabinoids. Yesterday morning the public prosecutor in charge of the file, Marco Maria Cellini, instructed the pathologist of the ASL of L’Aquila, Giuseppe Calvisi, to carry out the autopsy. However, it will take some time and a relationship between the incident and the death of the pedestrian appears to be obvious. The young investor’s car was seized.
