“The trap of prejudices and stereotypes in helping relationships”, discussed in Bisceglie – BisceglieLive.it

The social emergency service of the territorial area n. 5 Trani – Bisceglie, managed by the RTI composed of the leading body Cooperativa Promozione Sociale e Solidarietà, Mi stai a Cuore and Trani SOS, has organized the event entitled “The trap of prejudices and stereotypes in helping relationships”, the 3rd of the six theoretical training meetings foreseen by the Special Tender Specifications for all operators with training obligations for their orders, providing that each meeting can also be open to all social workers in the area.

In the meeting on May 2nd, after the registration of the participants, the intervention of the professional Felice Di Lernia is expected.

In the first part we will address the issue of stereotypes and prejudice in the helping relationship, such as incorrect mental patterns that often authorize us to evaluate a person or predict their behavior just because they are placed in a certain category.

In the second training part we will discuss a new level of awareness of the set of prejudices, stereotypes and beliefs that guide us in the daily experience of helping by recognizing others and understanding their differences.

The event will be held at the headquarters of the Social Cooperative for Social Promotion and Solidarity in Via Napoletano n. 13 – Bisceglie.

At the end of the meeting, a certificate of participation will be delivered.
