Thirty years after its inauguration, the Family Center opens its doors to citizens for a special event aimed at everyone.

The Center for families of the Municipalities of Ravenna, Cervia and Russi is a service promoted and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, aimed primarily at families with children aged between 0 and 18. It is proposed as an information point, support for parenting, promotion of forms of solidarity and mutual help. Furthermore, it operates in a network with institutional and non-institutional entities in the local area. It offers services such as Informafamiglie, an access point to the center and an information and orientation point on local resources; psycho-educational and psychological consultancy for parents and children; family mediation, help for parents undergoing separation. It is also an institutional point of reference for family reception and adoption.

To celebrate the anniversary on Sunday 5 May, from 10am to 6pm, at the headquarters in via Gradisca 19 in Ravenna, workshops and activities dedicated to families with children will be offered. The party will begin with a greeting to the participants; followed at 11 am by the presentation of the book “Grandparents and grandchildren. A bond that lasts over time”, edited by the author Benedetta Landi, in collaboration with the operators of the Center for families; at 11.45 the volunteers of the “Born to read” project and the operators of the Cooperativa Terramia will offer readings for parents and children in Italian and in a foreign language.

There will also be a convivial moment with an aperitif offered at 12.30 to everyone present. Subsequently, from 2.30pm to 6pm, workshops will be held by the third sector and voluntary sector organizations with which the Center for Families collaborates to carry out its activities: “Kindness Workshop” – organized by Unicef , aimed at boys and girls from three years of age, “Games in the courtyard” – organized by the LibrAzione Cooperative, “Flower Printing – painting workshop with flowers” (bring a t-shirt, handkerchief, tea towel that you want to embellish with prints) – curated by Villaggio Globale and CittAttiva, “Fantasia in volo” – curated by Sara Baraccani – Centro la Lucertola – construction of mini parachutes for children from 3 years old, “Playing great with simplicity” – games for adults and children – a curated by the team of operators of the Festa del Diritto al Gioco, “The decorated cardboards” creative workshop curated by the Banca del Tempo and Sulle Ali delle Menti Associations, “La Piadina Romagnola” – workshop curated by the volunteers of the Center for families and the Active Citizens of Cervia desk and “Reading the tale of Marco Cavallo” by the author Renata Senni and the illustrator Sahra Rossi, “A testa alta” Association and Dalla parte di Minori.
