A very strong earthquake woke up the Campi Flegrei and the city of Naples today, April 27, at 5.44 in the morning. According to initial findings, the magnitude would be 3.9 on the Richter scale. One of the highest since the beginning of the new bradyseismic crisis.
The jolt was of strong intensity and lasted a decidedly long time. It was perceived in areas of the city where no one usually hears it. The chatter on social media indicates that people were woken up from the Campi Flegrei to Vomero to Posillipo, up to the historic center of Naples.
In the area closest to the epicentre, currently indicated in the Bacoli area, some people took to the streets, although for the moment no damage or injuries have been reported. To be precise, the earthquake occurred in the sea of the Gulf of Pozzuoli exactly in front of the ancient castle of Baia.
