The modus operandi that has been known for some time is that of report an accident by telephone which the son incurred. I learned that it was a scam since the son was actually with the husband and had not had any accident, the 73-year-old had immediately alerted this police station via 112.
The timely info-investigative activity immediately started with the stationed railway police on the Verona-Naples route, fortunately had allowed, at 6.00 pm of the same day, to intercept and arrest the subject once he got off the train at the Naples Central station.
