Pro Gorizia wins the last championship match at home and postpones the hope of qualifying for the playoffs until the last day. In yesterday’s shift of Excellence, the biancazzurri beat Codroipo 2-0 thanks to Grion and Pagliaro and they remain close to Tamai in second place in the standings. The match was the occasion for a double celebration in the Pro house: before the match the historic fan, Antonino Costanzo, was rewarded for his constant presence following the biancazzurri. At half-time, however, it was the turn of the Giovanissimi under 15s to celebrate the victory of the provincial championship.
First half in which Pro Gorizia takes the lead. In the 6th minute Grudina tries a shot from distance, but Bruno is attentive and blocks it. At 13′ Lucheo wins a free kick from the left, Grion gets on the ball and goes over the barrier and beats Bruno, giving the Pro the lead. In the 20th minute Codroipo responds with Ruffo who unloads for Patrik Beltrame. The latter tries the shot, but his shot ends up high. In the 27th minute, Pro comes forward again with Boschetti, who tries his luck from distance, but the ball flies high.
In the 43rd minute Ruffo tries to hurt the blue and whites, but his shot from the edge of the area is central and Umari can block it without problems.
In the only minute of injury time, Pro had a double opportunity to double the lead, first Pagliaro, after a solo action, called Bruno to rebound, the ball remained on the pitch and Madiotto served the onrushing Samotti, who kicked diagonally, sending the ball out of nothing. In the second half the emotions are much less. In the 4th minute Nadalini takes a free kick from a tight angle, Umari stretches out and touches it in the corner.
In the 10th minute Pro Gorizia doubled their lead: a cross from the left from Ermacora which reached the far post to Samotti who put it back in the centre, the ball caromed off Pagliaro’s back and ended up in the net. The rest of the game passes by without major shocks. The only notable note is Ermacora’s expulsion in the last minute of injury time for a double yellow.
