Civitavecchia – “Deficit down by 600 thousand euros and reduced tariff for businesses”. The 2023 report was approved yesterday in the city council by the Tedesco administration with 15 votes in favour.

“The municipality’s overall deficit stands at 17 million euros, down 600 thousand euros compared to the previous year”. This is one of the most important data revealed by the manager of the finance sector of the municipality of Civitavecchia, Francesco Battista, during yesterday’s city council meeting.

The 2023 statement, i.e. the final budget, the one that lists income and expenses for the financial year, was approved with 15 votes in favour, those of the centre-right majority and 2 against. Budget councilor Francesco Serpa was excused for his absence.

“Among the numbers in the latest budget, it is also worth mentioning the reduction in the tariff for businesses, with an average of -8.5%, while for domestic users it remains in line with last year. From 2019 to today, however, the tariff has dropped by 5% for families and by 12% for companies”.

Still overall data to highlight, for example those on the recovery of tax evasion, of 20 million euros for the entire mandate, while the approved off-balance sheet debts amount to 7.5 million euros.
