It seemed like we were experiencing a cross-section of Sicily in the years of migration towards more industrialized and advanced countries, so realistic was it in the form, in the sincere acting, in the characterization and interpretation of the characters.

“La Tedesca” by Mimmo Galletto and his company from the “Piccolo Teatro Città di Raffadali”, enchanted and entertained the spectators who crowded the Pirandello Theater in Agrigento, dragging them into a comedy that smacked of truth and proposing dialogues and themes that there were events that could very well have been real in those years of profound hardship for those who remained and for those who were forced to emigrate to support their families. The transposition of a heavy experience, which in the wise words of Mimmo Galletto, was transformed into a light, comic language, highly appreciated by a participating and attentive audience, both the pleasantness of the acting and the tragicomic content.

In addition to the great Mimmo Galletto, who wrote, played and directed “La Tedesca”, the following were on stage: Giusy Galletto, Loredana Cicero, Marisa Frenda, Angelo Giglio, Melissa Frenda, Enzo Cardella, Giuseppe Barbaro, Gaetano Gangarossa and Gero Galvano, who they played their characters with the mastery and spontaneity that characterize talented actors.

We are already waiting for another show with our mouths watering and our hands ready for the applause, which we are sure will be well deserved as always…

Ad Maiora Maestro.
