It’s official: Marcone will challenge Ferretti – Teramo

ATRIA. It’s officially Giammarco Marcone the candidate for mayor of the broad field that he will face Piergiorgio Ferretti in the June municipal elections in Atri. The definitive agreement arrived during the meeting of the coalition, which includes Action, the Democratic Party, the 5 Star Movement, the Civic Alliance association and other civic forces, which was held on Thursday evening. Following the meeting, all the forces present at the political table entrusted the leadership of the list to Marcone. The lawyer from Atria, candidate last year on the list in support of the doctor Alfonso Prosperi and at the recent regional elections, he says he is satisfied and ready. «I thank all the political and civic forces who have given me their trust to work in continuity with the Civic Alliance project of the last electoral round», are Marcone’s first words, «we are working to build a strong and concrete alternative that gives administrative and political discontinuity compared to those who have administered our city in recent years”. Marcone therefore takes the reins of the coalition after Prosperi’s renunciation of his second candidacy for mayor. Prosperi lost the elections last June against Ferretti, which were then annulled by the Council of State due to some irregularities, by just eleven votes.
