Also this year the National Association of Christian Partisans of Piacenza remembers with a Holy Mass Don Giuseppe Borea, Francesco Daveri, Don Giuseppe Beotti, di Giuseppe Berti, Nato Ziliani, Pino Fumi and “all the friends who fought for the achievement and the maintenance of freedom and democracy in our country”. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 30 April, at 6pm, at the Church of San Vittore in via Grazioli, 1 in Besurica (Piacenza).

“Recalling the moments of resistance and the unity of an entire people, including Catholics, lay people and priests, who found themselves fighting for the conquest of freedom and democracy – highlights Mario Spezia, president of the association -, can help everyone us to face the challenges of the future today too, with hope and renewed enthusiasm, in the awareness that a peaceful future is possible if faced in the light of the values of a new humanism, such as that enshrined and affirmed in the fundamental principles of the Italian Constitution: the principle of personal, religious and thought freedom; that of democracy, peace, work; of the inviolability of human rights; of political, economic and social solidarity; of subsidiarity. Those same values that united Italians over seventy years ago are the same values around which a new social pacification can be built in the interest of the country”.
