A week after the news of the political agreement between the League and the UDC (Central Union) to form a new component in the Chamber of Deputies, someone has misunderstood the transition of Nino Minardo, president of the Defense Commission of the Chamber, as an independent UDC in the mixed group together with the national secretary of the UDC itself, Lorenzo Cesa.

“It is an agreement on which I have worked for more than a year on behalf of Matteo Salvini, in a broader framework of federative pacts at national level between the League and parties or civic lists that do not have representation in Parliament, a topic I deal with in the party.”

“For example: from North to South there are many mayors elected with civic lists, who however do not have a political reference at a national level. We say to them: if you are Catholic, if you share our moderate values, on the family, on work, on social issues, on the same way of understanding politics, we are available to give you a voice.”
The target?
“On a political level, an alliance that looks beyond the European vote in June, where we do not rule out the presentation of federated lists.
