Widespread bad weather weekend Piedmont with the avalanche risk which could becomestrong” (grade 4 on the scale that goes up to 5) if the snowfall will be particularly heavy. These are the forecasts of Arpa (Regional Agency for Environmental Protection). At 2,500 meters altitude they could accumulate up to 50-70 centimeters of snow fresh, between Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April. The heaviest rainfall is expected in northern Piedmont and the western valleys. The snow level from the initial 1,100-1,300 meters will rise to 2,000 meters during Sunday. This week, at 2,000 meters 40-60 centimeters of snow has fallen on the southern Alpine sectors, 30-50cm on the western ones, 20-30cm on the northern ones.
