FOLIGNO – “Three amateur teams in the city… make one to give us dignity…”. These are the words printed on the banner put up by Foligno fans in the Plateatico car park, a place that in less than 15 days will bring Foligno to the national and world spotlight because the time trial of the Giro d’Italia Foligno-Perugia will start from there.
The protest was in the air, but now after the victory of the Eccellenza championship by Fulgens it has definitively exploded because the appeal, launched through the banner, is aimed precisely at the three football clubs ACF Foligno, Foligno Calcio and Vis Foligno.
The hope of the fans is that the managers of the three clubs can sit down with the aim of starting an effective collaboration in the name of the city of “Foligno”.
The appeal is also addressed to the municipal administration which in a similar situation can still take action to encourage the debate for a possible unification of forces to also pursue better management of financial resources.
The fans are ready to meet the club managers…
