Art, music, dance, theater and cinema. There is so much in the program of initiatives of the call for participatory valorisation of the Palace of Caserta, presented yesterday morning to the press in the new Conference Room of the Grand Gallery. The director will illustrate the spring-summer program Tiziana Maffei, assisted by Valeria Di Fratta, who coordinates the marketing, fundraising, services and public relations functional area. Around forty events will enliven the Vanvitellian monument starting from next Saturday and until September 28th. «The participatory valorisation call – explained Maffei – is the way in which we work with associations, bodies, the community and the entire territory. According to the criteria we gave at the beginning of the tender, we build shared projects with them, which we have submitted to the scientific committee. In this edition, eighteen applications were received. Twelve were selected.” The director then added that these are activities «that concern the different languages of art. There is music with concerts in the Palatine Chapel, but also in the Royal Park in unexplored spaces. Then there is the dance and the exhibitions with Marco Bagnoli inside the Palace and Danilo Ambrosino at the Castelluccia, among the most evocative places of the Palace”.

There is great news that concerns the whole city and it is the reopening of the Flora gardens. Here starting from July five days dedicated to specific social themes, thanks to the “Rosso Vanvitelliano” project initiative. Then, in September three free entry events with the open-air cinema, which returns to the joy of Caserta at Flora, on the proposal of the “Villa Giaquinto” and “Caserta Film Lab” committee. «It is a complex attempt – underlined Maffei – because the Palace, as a UNESCO site, must assume the responsibility of developing these activities in complete safety. It is certainly an excellent way to collaborate with the territory, taking into account two plans. On the one hand there is the international dimension, whose numbers and above all the quality of the activities are giving interesting results; on the other hand there is the desire that as an institute we can be promoters, solicitors and stimulators of shared projects. I for one feel that this somewhat buffer area, between the city and the Palace, could become an excellent opportunity to build culture together. The attempt to open the Flora with initiatives carried out with the various associations is a way to ensure that the Museum, an institution at the service of society and its development, is a promoter of multiple initiatives in collaboration with the territory”. Great space for music in the Royal Palace’s programme. There will be a fixed weekly appointment for the many enthusiasts, but also more.

It starts on Saturday in the Palatine Chapel with the “Mozart Italia” association and the exhibition “Music, myth, memory. Author’s journeys on the piano” which is divided into three concerts for solo piano. Therefore, the Caserta Chamber Orchestra, in collaboration with the Anna Jervolino association, will present “Primavera Mozartiana”, five concerts conducted by Antonino Cascio from 18 May to 29 June. The “Sonora Wind Trio” will propose for the Night of the Museums, again on May 18th, musical programs linked to the compositional production of the Neapolitan area between the 18th and 19th centuries. The Royal Staircase, the Upper Vestibule and the rooms of the royal apartments will be punctuated by musical tableaux vivants, with the participation of the dancers of the Arabesque company. The “Sonora Wind Trio” will also perform in the “Concerto all’alba” at the end of August. On June 1st in the Palatine Chapel it will be the turn of the Campana Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Giulio Marazia. Two exclusive novelties will be the concerts of the Guardia di Finanza and the Police. For the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Corps, the 102-piece Guardia di Finanza Band will perform in the first courtyard of the Palace on 18 July. The Police Headquarters, however, will present the project “Legality between aesthetics and ethics” in September, with a concert by the State Police Band made up of 105 instrumentalists from the most prestigious conservatories in Italy. The extraordinary participation of the famous violinist Giuseppe Gibbone is expected. Wellness activities are also planned with yoga lessons inside the Bosco Vecchio, organized by the “Rosa del Nilo” association.
