Costa Fortuna inaugurated the 2024 season of Costa Crociere in Catania. The ship arrived in the Sicilian port with around 3 thousand guests on board, as part of a two-week cruise that will discover Turkey, with two days of stopover in Istanbul and one in Izmir, Greece and Tunisia.

It costs Fortuna will return to Catania on May 7, offering a two-week cruise that will allow you to visit Santorini, Mykonos and Ibiza in a single holiday and then twice more in autumn, always with the same two itineraries.
The protagonist of the summer will be Costa Fascinosa: from 8 June to 21 September he will be in Catania every Saturday, for a week-long itinerary between Malta and the most beautiful islands of Greece. Thanks to the presence of these two ships, to which will be added the Costa Deliziosa World Tour in December, Costa Crociere’s calls in Catania in 2024 will be 22 in total.
The novelty of Sea Destinations
Costa Fascinosa’s summer 2024 itinerary will visit Catania, Taranto, Santorini, Mykonos, Valletta, with a new feature, available only with Costa: the “Sea Destinations”. Alongside the experiences that will lead to the discovery of destinations on land, Costa Fascinosa will, in fact, offer new experiences to enjoy on boardduring navigation, to better experience iconic places included in the ship’s route.
For example, immediately after departure from Catania, on board the ship, guests will be able to enjoy a Wine Experience dedicated to the best wines from Sicilyserved directly from the barriques, enjoying the view of Etna.
Or, as the ship passes through the deepest point of the Aegean Sea, it will come to life a party dedicated to the depths of the sea, with nymphs, mermaids and sea daemons who will come on board for a party that is lost in the depths of myth, following the song of legends. At anchor in front of Santoriniguests will be able to capture all the beauty of the panorama in a photo, while sipping their favorite aperitif.
Discovering Catania
During the stop in the port of Cataniaguests will be able to come down to visit the city and its territory from a point of view outside the traditional routes, thanks to the organized excursions from the coast.
Among the proposals there are a trekking discovering the history of the eruptions of theEtna, accompanied by an expert guide, to the edge of the Valle del Bove; the panoramic tour to discover the Bellini’s Cataniathe tour dedicated to street food in Cataniathe river trekking among the gorges and canyons of the parkAlcantara, guided by a river expert; the tour on a sailing boat between islands of the cyclops.
