Anomalous spring, green light to use heating. With a specific ordinance the mayor of Benevento Clemente Mastella has provided the possibility of turning on the thermal heating systems until midnight next year May 5th.

In fact, the Municipality, in the climatic zone “C” climate zone, which provides for the stop to radiators and convector heaters from 31 March, however the reference legislation gives the mayors, in the face of proven needs, the power to increase or decrease the annual periods of operation and the daily duration of switching on of the heating systems. Which Mastella did “taking into account the sharp drop in temperatures which is causing a climatic anomaly in this period”.

The systems will still be able to remain turned on at maximum for 5 hours a day, in the time slot 5-23, respecting the obligation not to exceed the temperature limits of the internal air of the rooms of 18°C, +2°C tolerance for buildings used for industrial, artisanal and similar activities, and of 20 °C +2°C tolerance for other buildings; the mayor, however, invites the people of Benevento “to take conscious action in the management of heating systems, as well as to rational use of electrical sources in order to achieve the greatest possible energy saving”.
