The episode was made known by the Bari Local Health Authority, which expresses “total closeness and solidarity with the healthcare workers who were victims of the attack and firmly condemns yet another gesture perpetrated against the staff in the exercise of their duties and to the detriment of the community, as it causes the interruption of a public service”.

The health workers reported a prognosis of 10 and 15 days, after having been physically attacked by the woman: according to what has been reconstructed, the wait would have been prolonged – explains the Local Health Authority – due to the simultaneous arrival of red codes which occupied the staff of the Emergency room.
