Environmental monitoring of the Frentana area and Lower Molise using the honey bee, a bioindicator capable of providing a wealth of data on the state of health of the environment. It is the Gal Innova Plus project entitled “Sustainability” which has obtained funding confirmation within the Molise RDP. The objective is the creation of an environmental biomonitoring network, the identification and reporting of environmental alert situations, the verification, certification and communication of the environmental quality of the area.
The activities linked to the intervention include: the identification and installation of monitoring “points” in at least six municipalities in the Gal Innova plus territory, the monitoring, recording and processing of environmental data, the drafting of biomonitoring reports, paper material and digital for communicating the results of the activity, information meetings on the Gal Innova plus territory.
The Gal will avail itself of the collaboration of the University of Molise, Department of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, whose technical-scientific skills will guarantee the correct implementation of the activities.
“Contributing to strengthening the environmental sustainability of the territory, albeit within the limits of the functions and resources available, represents – say Gal Innova Plus – a reason for satisfaction, and a way to give added value to the network of tourist itineraries that is being built together with the system of local businesses and public entities, beneficiaries and recipients of the various interventions that characterize the Local Action Plan “I Cammini del Molise frentano””.
