The first days of May could pass under the shame of bad weather given a vast sagging which will reach us from Western Europe. Subsequently, Atlantic high pressure perhaps it will decide to point its nose towards the east and towards the end of the first decade it will bring about better weather in Italy, albeit not completely stable.
But let’s go in order. The first map is the average of the scenarios of American model valid for Monday 6 May:
From this map you can see how high pressure will still be far from Italy, remaining “fifth” on the nearby Atlantic; our Peninsula will remain exposed to fresh and unstable currents (blue arrows) harbingers of showers and thunderstorms especially in the north and center. In this regard, we show you the map of probability of rain in Italy inherent to the day in question, that is Monday 6 May. We remind you that: in blue low chance of rain (below al 25%), in green medium-low (between 25 and 50%), in yellow medium-high (between 50 and 75%) and in red high or very high” (over 75%).
As can be seen from this map, the northern regions as well as the internal areas of central Italy will be affected by one chance of rain medium-high or even high where you see the color red. Part of the southern regions and the Islands will have one instead lower chance of rainmarked by the color blue.
Looking further, a few days ago we showed you the tendency for Atlantic high pressure to lengthen towards the east at the end of the first monthly decade. Here too we can confirm everything, with a map valid for Thursday 9 May:
Notice a greater relaxation of Atlantic high pressure towards western and central Europe where spring will probably show its stable and rather warm face. The “stabilizing blanket” risks being too short for Italy, which will suffer from relatively fresh currents from the north-east and conditions of latent instability, but in a widely acceptable and pleasant climate context; in other words, some showers or brief thunderstorms afternoon in internal areas in a general context Nice weather from North to south.
