An opportunity to experience these next three days in peace, perhaps even taking part in some events in our area. So here is our usual selection of events of what to do at the weekend!

What to do in Como at the weekend

Olgiate Comasco – Friday 26 April, at 9pm in the Middle Ages, “Olgiate Cult” invites you to “Let’s transform challenges into opportunities – Olgiate economic forum”.

Olgiate Comasco – Saturday 27 April, at 8.45pm in the parish church, concert by the clarinet ensemble directed by Mirco Bussi. Event as part of the “Olgiate Cult” culture festival, evening in favor of the new oratory.

Olgiate Comasco – Sunday 28 April, at the Medioevo conference centre, Sergio Gaddi, art critic, will talk about Van Gogh. Appointment as part of “Olgiate Cult”.

Montano Lucino – Sunday 28 April, from 8.30 “Let’s have breakfast together”. The young people of the parish of Sant’Andrea a Montano will serve breakfast to wish the participants a happy Sunday. The initiative of the willing young people is intended to raise funds for the parish, the offer for participation is free.

Binago – Sunday 28 April “Ibex Run Trail” is the title of the race which will take participants to immerse themselves in the splendid routes of the Pineta Park. A renewed appointment for running lovers, thanks to the always meticulous organization of “Ibex Bike Run”, the Binaghese association with several sporting, running or riding events already under its belt. The race will start at 9.30, with the starting point at the Centro Vita Associativa in Binago.

Lurate Caccivio – a day of celebration, leisure and fun dedicated to children and teenagers. The activity of the pastoral community designed for young people continues. The appointment to mark in the diary is the one scheduled for Sunday 28 April, at the Caccivio oratory. In fact, starting from 3pm, in the spaces offered by the parish, an unmissable team game will be organized for pre-adolescents, teenagers and those aged between 18 and 19. Participants will be asked to be detectives for a day and solve the Villasesia case, analyzing the clues left at the crime scene. There will also be space for the little ones with a workshop designed for primary school children.

Guanzate – farm in music and music in the farm. Tomorrow, Saturday 27 April, is a special day to be experienced in the open air and in contact with nature, without forgetting the magic of the seven notes. In fact, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, the “Do, Re, Mi… on the farm” event organized by the “La Cavallina” social farm and the “Sana” social cooperative will be held. In via Patrioti 117 you can visit the facility, take part in music therapy workshops and a moment of well-being together with an Ayurveda and yoga therapist (the latter reserved for adults). Afterwards there will be an aperitif and snack. The next meeting will be held on May 25th.

What to do in Erba at the weekend

Canzo – the curtain falls on the Canzo theater season. On Saturday 27 April, at 9pm, at the end of the season, «Almost an evening» will be performed by the Erba company Il Giardino delle Ore.
A brilliant show that marks Ethan Coen’s premiere at the theatre; food for thought on the relationship between humanity and the great mystery of existence.

Castelmarte – Sunday 28 April, the Spring Festival will be held at the Il Vecchio Faggio animal shelter, entry to which is free for participants. During the day, there will be activities for children on the environmental theme, but there will also be stalls selling local and artisanal products. All proceeds from the event will go towards the maintenance of the Castelmartese animal shelter.

Ponte Lambro – we remember the sixty years since the placing of the Monte Puscio Cross. A first commemorative moment will be held in the oratory on Sunday 28 April: it starts with an “Aperilunch” which will be followed by a moment dedicated to the history of the Cross and those present will then be able to enjoy musical entertainment in the afternoon, with also games for everyone. On Wednesday 1st May, as per tradition, we will climb up to the Cross where mass will be celebrated at 11am.

Montorfano – dancing evening with the Oro Dance association: appointment this evening, Saturday 27 April, at the municipal gym in via Brianza. The evening is sponsored by the Milan Club Montorfano and the Municipality and is open to dance professionals, but also to amateurs who want to try their hand at dance. The event, organized by dancers and multiple champions Marco Nava and Luisa Lanfranconi, will be animated by live music from Saverio Masolini’s orchestra. At the end there will be a buffet. Tavernerio – on Sunday 28 April, at the municipal auditorium, the “Svitol” theater company from Lipomo presents the semi-dialect comedy in two acts “Quanti bal in Cà Ciappetti” by Edoardo Moiana. At the event organized by the Raggi di luce Tavernerio association, with the patronage of the Municipality, entry is free and the start of the show is set for 3pm.

What to do in Cantù

Mariano Comense – The city of floriculture returns to bring its tradition to life also in the living room of Piazza Roma. Thursday 25 April saw the start of the “Mariano in fiore” event, made possible thanks to the participation of 15 companies, creators of 13 floral stations that merged with the square, making it more colorful and attracting many curious people. The floral display will continue until Sunday 12 May. The program also includes hobbyist markets, nursery stalls and from 6pm music with an aperitif in company. Tomorrow, Sunday 28 April, there will be a tribute to «The Police». Also from tomorrow until May 12th, the Friends of Culture present «Marian painters for Mariano in fiore», curated by Akila Porage. The inauguration will be at 5pm.
