The original production they will propose, “Blue Suede Shoes”is a tribute to the music of Elvis Presley revisited in jazz-symphonic form by the Italian Jazz Orchestra directed by Fabio Petretti.

Behind the artists, in the background of the stage, they will flow archive images, film clips, concerts, television specials and interviews of Elviscreating a moving scenography.

Giuseppe Zanca, Massimo Morganti, Marco Postacchini and Petretti sign the arrangements for a group of around twenty instrumentalists, while as special guests the pianist Rita Marcotulli and the singer John De Leo are called, whose vocal versatility and strong personality are an excellent business card for comparison with an icon like Presley.

John DeLeo he has very few similar in the Italian singing scene; rather, he can be considered heir to the vocal experiments of Demetrio Stratos or Cathy Berberian. This uniqueness has always been evident in his career, marked by collaborations, not only musical, with Stewart Copeland, Uri Caine, Louis Andriessen, Trilok Gurtu, Stefano Benni, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Carlo Lucarelli, Franco Battiato, Ivano Fossati, Alessandro Bergonzoni and many others.

Rita Marcotulli he is among the most characterizing figures of Italian jazz from the 1980s to today. Trained musically in the lively Roman jazz scene of the early 1980s, Marcotulli initially distinguished herself as an excellent mainstream pianist, in which role she boasted collaborations with significant results with Chet Baker, Steve Grossman, Joe Henderson, Joe Lovano, Sal Nistico, Dewey Redman, Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine, Enrico Rava. She then progressively oriented towards a more personal and, to use a term that has now entered into jazz musicology, European music, expanding the list of her collaborations (Palle Danielsson, Carlo Rizzo, Maria Pia De Vito, Michel Benita, Andy Sheppard… ) and placing himself at the helm of groups with strong planning.
