“Sernia Meja – Kalena” can be defined as a “musical comedy”: it consists of an anthology of verses, songs and theatrical pieces edited by Franco Capone who drew from the vast production of Isernia dialect comedy and poetry of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
Excerpts and poems by Vincenzo Viti, Giacinto Tarra, Franco Ciampitti, Vittorino Santilli, Giampaolo D’Uva, Luigi di Sanza, Tonino Maitino, Maurizio Veneziale, Rino Capone, Rosangela Tedeschi will be recited, linked together by a text that refers to the myth and classical literature.
The City of Isernia Folk Group, (lead vocalist Giovanni Principe), will sing the most beautiful songs of the Isernia repertoire, written and set to music, mainly by Sabino D’Acunto and Pier Giuseppe Baccaro.
