Aversa (Caserta) – It is a heartfelt appeal that the lawyer Luigi Massa addresses to all the forces of the center-left of Aversa in view of the administrative elections of 8 and 9 June. An appeal that he pushes for the construction of a truly credible political-administrative project and not simply aimed at “being together”.
We receive and publish: «Dear director, as a simple citizen, faced with the delays, the more or less underground controversies, the continuous back and forth of these very last few days, I take the liberty of addressing, once again and publicly, all the forces of the Center-Left Aversano, an appeal, already known to them, in the hope it will lead to a surge of sincere and disinterested love for our city.
Be aware that, before all of you, or rather before all of us, there is a challenge to be taken up, before any other aspect, of extreme generosity and responsibility in overcoming any, albeit legitimate, partisan strategy, any initial distrust, any prejudice, more or less personal, every division, even internal, and even every initial dissent, for the benefit of a sincere collective effort, in the exclusive interest of Aversa and our fellow citizens.
What is at stake, in fact, is not at all the affirmation of a primacy of one over the other nor the vulgar conquest of a position of power, but rather the possibility and the hope that there is still a space in which Politics, understood as an authentic service to the common good, can manifest itself and give genuine proof of itself. A space in which each individual personality involved as well as the various party or association entities that compose it are always given listening, attention and equal dignity, in a logic of sharing both a reasoning and a political scheme and a programmatic path that can truly represent everyone.
A space in which, on the one hand, we can safeguard, recognize and treasure the best part of the previous administrative experience, which must be recognised, for example, the merit of having reawakened enthusiasm that has now been lost, of having accelerated a decisive generational change and to have contained the damage caused by the faults of others or of the past; on the other hand, however, one also has the foresight and political stature necessary to take a step aside to relaunch and relaunch oneself in an innovative and ambitious project, which can be enriched with other visions, other perspectives and other ideal contributions, value-based, political and programmatic.
A space in which all those who want to engage know and can be protagonists and witnesses of a certain crystalline way of understanding and experiencing Politics. A space in whose ideal perimeter all experiences can feel represented which have at the center of their inspiration and action the protection of the dignity and fundamental rights of the person, in all its expressions or manifestations.
The challenge is certainly arduous, just as the burden that will have to be accepted by those who you believe can act as spokesperson and guarantor of this virtuous space of politics and of this ambitious and innovative sharing project will be arduous. Well, despite the hesitations, the poorly concealed intolerance and the desires for revenge or protagonism that emerged in the discussion between all the parties involved, I reiterate that I remain confident that we will be able to deploy all the wisdom, generosity and clarity necessary to officially indicate who can propose and articulate the best possible political synthesis, respecting everyone’s positions and expectations.
The time has come for there to be a consequent and inevitable assumption of political responsibility, first and foremost in front of one’s potential electorate, choosing clearly, because simply aiming to keep all the protagonists involved together is not enough and, as demonstrated by the latest regional elections, risks being a largely losing option.
It is therefore necessary to choose and choose to contribute to the construction of a truly credible administrative and programmatic perspective in the eyes of the people of Aversa. Moral question, ecological and digital transition, urban security, bureaucratic efficiency and budget transparency are urgencies that require a response that can no longer be deferred. Time is running out, the history of our city is watching you and we need to throw a heart over the obstacle, “house by house, street by street””.
