The good weather recalls the desire of the Paduans for the open air. This morning, on the occasion of the April 25th long weekend, the city center squares came alive hundreds of visitors.
As usual, the historic center was filled with tourists, but there were also many people from Padua who, after a week of intense bad weather, took the opportunity to take back the streets.
While the markets in Piazza dei Frutti e delle Erbe were stormed, long queues also formed at the museums, especially in Palace of Reason. In fact, in 2023 the building which houses one of the largest suspended classrooms recorded over 150 thousand visits, more than double compared to 2020.
The Urbs Picta therefore proves to be a favorite destination for short-medium term tourism. Queues also at the Eremitani and many visitors also at Zabarella Palace for the last weeks of the exhibition “From Monet to Matisse” opened last December and closing on May 12th, while from April 28th the Europa in Prato food and wine event will open in Prato della Valle.
