National Gallery of the Marche double appointment with music

Euridice Choir, Concert Saturday 27 April 2024, 4.30 pm Urbino Ducal Palace Throne Room

he National Gallery of the Marche, is pleased to host the Euridice Choir, which will perform a concert in the splendid setting of the Throne Room of the Ducal Palace in Urbino.

The Euridice Choir was born as an Orpheonic choir around 1880 and transformed into a polyphonic choir in the first half of the 20th century. He holds concerts in Italy and abroad (over the last decade: Sweden and Finland 2009, Spain 2011, England 2012, Switzerland 2014, France 2015, Germany 2018, Croatia 2019). There is an active chamber choir that tackles a specific repertoire. Since 1976 the Euridice choir has been directed by Pier Paolo Scattolin who has the artistic direction of all activities. In 2009 the Euridice Music School was inaugurated in its current location in Borgo Panigale in Bologna. Furthermore, a choral laboratory for children’s voices, Euridicinni, directed by Angela Troilo and Teresa Parigi, is active. The activities of the Circe Ensemble of ancient instruments and of the permanent amateur orchestra for adults “OCE- Euridice Chamber Orchestra” began in 2015. Since 1998 it has organized the “Città di Bologna” International Choral Festival every two years under the artistic direction of Pier Paolo Scattolin.
