Prince of Piedmont armored for the President of Tajikistan

VIAREGGIO – The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, chose to stay at the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio for his stop in Italy. In fact, for days the 5-star luxury hotel has remained ‘armoured’ to guarantee maximum protection and confidentiality for the Head of State who has booked the entire structure.

The head of state (at the head of Tajikistan for almost 30 years and in office until 2027) arrived together with a delegation of authorities from his country: a total of around 50 people – all men – staying in the two floors of the hotel on the seafront. A luxurious 150 square meter suite with sea view and typical Italian style was reserved for Rahmon. The stay at the Principe di Viareggio, chosen as a base for diplomatic activities in Italy, ends today, Friday 26th, when the return by private jet is scheduled.

Furthermore, in recent days President Rahmon was received at the Quirinale by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, at Palazzo Chigi, as well as having visited some of the companies of excellence in Italy.
