shameful neo-fascist writing smears Largo dei Partigiani

A shameful act of vandalism stained the city of Marsala on the night between 25 and 26 April. A neo-fascist writing, accompanied by a Celtic cross, appeared on a wall in Largo dei Partigiani, just a few hours before the celebrations for April 25th.

The discovery of the writing sparked the indignation of many citizens, who expressed their anger and disgust at this outrageous gesture on social networks. Many have urged the municipal administration to promptly remove the writing and take action against those responsible.

As soon as the municipal administration was informed of the fact, it immediately sent a team of workers to the site to erase the writing. The Mayor expressed his firm condemnation for the episode, calling it “a cowardly and intolerable act that offends the memory of the partisans and all those who fought for freedom and democracy”.

The Democratic Party of Marsala also expressed its firm condemnation of the neo-fascist writing, defining it as “yet another vile fascist gesture recorded in the city”. The PD underlined the need not to forget the other acts of fascist vandalism that have occurred in Marsala in recent years and invited the right to distance itself from this type of behavior.
