Teramo: controversy over the events of the ‘Primo Riccitelli’

The recent resignation of Andrea Castagna from the board of directors of the ‘Primo Riccitelli’ music and theater society has triggered a wave of reactions in the political and cultural panorama of Teramo

Castagna, appointed by the political majority that leads the Municipality, expressed his dissent through an open letter, highlighting the lack of sharing in cultural decisions and his exclusion from strategic choices, in particular regarding the management of the Municipal theatre. An affair that has sparked controversy particularly from the opposition benches. For Fracassa, the lack of a suitable space in the city for events and performances will lead to numerous inconveniences, given that many will be forced to go outside Teramo.

“The situation of the Municipal Theatre, closed for renovation works expected to last years, has become emblematic of the broader problem of cultural management in the city. The D’Alberto administration has been criticized for not having identified an alternative venue for theatrical activities, leaving a void in the local cultural offering.”
