Exhibition “Once upon a time… the Padano Group of Piadena”

From April 30th the Museum of Rural Civilization “Il Cambonino Vecchio” continues its activity of valorising the rich heritage collected and produced by Padano Group of Piadena with the exhibition “Once upon a time… the Padano Group of Piadena between research, exhibitions and dissemination”.

This is the exhibition on panels that collect articles, images and posters, which retrace sixty years of commitment
social and cultural of the group.

The inauguration will be held Tuesday 30 April, at 6pm, to the Cambonino Museum.

To remember the great work carried out by the Padano Group of Piadena, with a musical moment, will be the Cremona Folk Singing Group and the Museum Popular Music Group Camboninotwo realities born under the wise guidance of Sergio Lodipillar of the Padano Group of Piadena.

Sergio Lodi deserves the credit for having strongly believed in the importance of saving and disseminating an intangible heritage which still today carries messages of equality and freedom as well as an indelible portrait of our community.

Born in Piadena in 1962 at the Popular Library, established in 1945 as a cultural service promoted and supported by the Piadena Consumer Cooperative, the Padano Group of Piadena has always had as its aim the search for documents of popular expressiveness.

There have been numerous activities promoted by the group, as well as relationships and collaborations intertwined with different subjects and realities.

The event, organized by the Municipality of Cremona, Museo Cambonino, Auser Unipop, Coop Lombardia – Local Members’ Committee, Cremona, Gussola, Piadena and Circolo proletario Arci – Carlo Signorini, aims to be an opportunity to remember the immense work carried out by the Group and bring together the people who made it possible.
