From April 25th to 28th, Florence will host theExcellent Street Fooda traveling event that will stop at the park this year San Donato in the Novoli neighborhood, offering culinary delicacies served directly by equipped vehicles. The event will showcase some of the best exponents of the national food and wine sector with unique colours, smells and flavors coming from everywhere, as well as excellent Italian Craft Beers and a quality musical selection!
Visitors will have the opportunity to savor delights from various parts of the world, accompanied by excellent Italian craft beer. The evenings will also be cheered by music of quality, so it is recommended to bring a picnic blanket to fully enjoy the food and entertainment, organized by Gust’Aspasso events.
The French Regional Marketwith its perfumes, flavors and colors from beyond the Alps, returns to Florence again in Piazza Santa Croce, from 25 to 28 April.
There are many food and wine delicacies present, all strictly of French quality and tradition. Over eighty types of cheeses, which can be paired with a wide range of wines from the most important wine regions beyond the Alps. For those with a sweet tooth, the “sweet tastings” will include Breton biscuits, with over twenty varieties of filling, a large number of chocolates with refined flavours, up to the desserts preferred by Kings and Emperors: macarons.
A large palette of colors is represented by the spice stand and, to complete the food and wine offer, there will be no shortage of freshly baked baguettes and croissants in the Boulangerie space. In this little corner of France that presents itself in your city you will also find craftsmanship, with a wide range of products from different regions: lavender, soaps, perfumes, Provençal tablecloths and much more.
From the 25 to 28 April 2024, Montespertoli (Florence) will host the second edition of the event “A Mountain of Craft Beer“, a celebration dedicated to high-quality craft beer.
Beer enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a vast selection on Friday in Piazza del Popolo, from 6pm to midnight, and for the whole day on the other days of the event, discovering the excellent artisanal breweries.
In addition to tasting excellent beer, the weekend also offers a craft and vintage market, street food delights, fun for children and a live music programme. Saturday evening will see “La gangricola del Blasco” perform in concert, guaranteeing spectacle and entertainment for all those present.
“Un Monte di Birra Artigianale” is organized by the CCNaturale of Montespertoli, with the support of the Pro Loco and under the patronage of the Municipality of Montespertoli.
Fairs, exhibitions and markets
From 26 to 28 April in Ciompi square the market returns with its records, comics, objects and vintage clothing, to adorn the beautiful square, this time with three days of market. The beautiful season lights up Sunday 26 May with the Vintage & Art Market Of Pimp My Vintage to the Florence Pier (Lungarno Colombo 27). Appointment from 11am to 8pm between deckchairs, sunsets, cocktails, a sea of clothes and accessories, bags and vinyls, jewelery and glasses, design and creative craftsmanship, emerging brands. An entire day discovering unique garments, new brands, collectibles and works by young artists.
Spring moves towards summer with an open-air Vintage Market to make the most of Sunday in company, with music and fresh drinks, surrounded by greenery, on the busiest Lungarno of the Florentine summer.
An event full of colors and fun, but also based on creativity and sustainability. Many ideas, conceived by brilliant minds and created by artisan hands with passion. Music and cinema
Three events to enjoy ancient music in a unique place in the world: it is scheduled for April 26th at 5.30pm the first god three concerts organized in the courtyard of Museum of Palazzo Davanzati come on Bargello Museums together with the musicians of Department of Ancient Music of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Florence.
The concert of Friday 26 April is titled Toccata, Chaconne, Rondeau: the forms of the Baroqueand will see Matteo Dozio perform on the harpsichord in a series of pieces taken from the repertoire of Bach, Scarlatti, Royer, Storace and Forqueray.

The Department of Ancient Music of the Cherubini Conservatory he has always been involved in teaching the repertoire, and is also active in experimentation and research in the academic field and in production for dissemination to the public, to bring to light pages of great artistic value, often little known to most.
The collaboration of Bargello Museums with the Conservatory is designed, in synergy, to place musical proposals in environments rich in history and art, to make music an artistic jewel inserted in a setting of great importance for the Florentines and for the tourists who, from all over the world, visit the city.

On the occasion of the celebrations for April 25th, at the Astra cinema a true story set during the Resistance in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines: Flora, Friday 26 April at 7.00pm, in the presence of the director Martina De Polo.
The story of twelve-year-old Flora who decides to side with the Resistance. After the American allies save her and her family from Nazi reprisals in 1944, they end up in the largest refugee camp in Italy: Cinecittà. Flora’s is a story of struggle, suffering, rebirth; it is the story of the roots of our country.

On the occasion of Liberation Day at Astra cinema will be screened Flora (Friday April 26th at 7pm): a documentary on the history of Flora Mountainsthe youngest partisan relay who at just 12 years old decided to side with the resistance in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
Now Flora is over 90 years old and lives in Bologna: hers is a story of struggle, suffering, rebirth. She is there history of the roots of our country.
