Prentiss Hubba 25-year-old playmaker/guard product of Notre Dame F. Irish (Indiana), commented on the latest success of his Dolomiti Energia in Naples which earned them the arithmetic qualification for the 2024 post-season in a moment of collective and personal growth preparatory to good playoffs, such as L’Aquila has often accustomed us to during their journey in Serie A, on the pages of Il T Quotidiano.

In Naples seeing our potential. “We are very happy with the victory and the match played in Naples, I think it was the best way to gain mathematical qualification for the playoffs: winning in that way, away, against a very strong team, I think it testifies to the type of team that we can be. Our potential is high. Of course, we had our difficulties, our misfortunes and some difficult weeks even without obtaining results, but we continued to work and trust each other. Now we have a short roster due to absences, but in the difficulties we are also finding an opportunity: to test ourselves, to go beyond what we would expect.”

The Pistoia surprise will arrive in Trento this Sunday. “We are in the playoffs, but these are crucial matches for us: to keep the enthusiasm and our level of play high, to enter the post-season in the best possible ranking position, to have rhythm and inertia on our side. We know that against Pistoia there will be a building full of energy ready to push us as it always has this year, and we want to give our fans another success before seeing each other again a couple of weeks later, in the playoffs.”

Hubb’s personal assessment of his year so far in Trento. “At the beginning of the season I set myself the objective of growing, putting myself out there to improve the characteristics that I considered weakest: I think I have made some steps forward in defense and in general in doing what is best for the team in various situations on the pitch, not only in attack but also in defense. Having said that, however, I am working as hard as I can to continue to grow: in these weeks we are playing for the whole season, we don’t want to settle for a place in the playoffs.”
