Confconsumatori requested – pursuant to article 10 of the regulation Agcmthe Competition and Market Authority – of intervene in the proceedings initiated against Enel Energia for the failure to deliver to users the economic conditions for the renewal of gas and electricity contracts.
THE CASE – The association has in fact received, through its local and online branches, more 500 families dealing with quadrupled energy bills who complain about the sudden surge in costs. In the request for intervention, Confconsumatori proposed to the Competition and Market Authority to broaden the investigation also in relation to the failure to deliver the letters that the company claims to have sent by ordinary mail but never received by citizens, both in relation to renewals contractual agreements and to unilateral changes in energy and gas costs.
