The standard bearer of Team Mario De Cecco – Environmental Logistics wins in Civitella del Tronto (Te).
A perfect race played today in Santa Maria dei Lumi (Teramo), by the boys led by Marco Caruso and Ermenegildo Pagliaroli which saw Luca Attolini triumph with arms raised in the 54th edition of the SS Madonna dei Lumi Trophy.
The Abruzzo race was tough with over 2000 meters of difference in altitude which saw the boys from Team Mario De Cecco – Environmental Logistics real protagonists from the start, giving rise to several escape attempts. At the end, before the bump leading up to the finish line, a group of twenty riders forms in the lead, including four guys from the team: Attolini, Fioravanti, Sansone and Buonomo.
Attolini is determined to achieve the prestigious success and pushes forward decisively. Despite the reaction of the group of former escape companions, he won the victory with a 20″ advantage over Del Cucina and 28″ over Masciarelli, giving the team their third victory of the season. Excellent seventh place for Federico Fioravanti.
